Justin M. Maller – SuperLover
Australian designers will always have preference when it comes to a place on this blog, not out of some chauvinistic bias (well ok, just a wee bit), but because they never seem to get the deserved level of recognition on home soil. Previously I’ve highlighted the genius of Marc Newsom, who has been a source of personal inspiration. Then there were the plasticised worlds of Brian Walker.
For cool-as-liquid-nitrogen illustration, Melbourne’s own Justin Maller is in the elite. This is no exageration – his affiliations in the industry, along with his list of international clients (Quiksilver, K-Swiss, Oakley to name a few) are testimony enough. Justin’s ability to conjure beautiful imagery by hybridising photographic elements and complex organo- geometric patterns is sublime.
