iPhone photo diaries

Smartphone manufacturers attempt to woo us with camera pixel counts, but for the most part, what really matters are the optics, which ultimately suffer when factoring in the constraints of unit size and component costs. Still, pinhole optics and comparatively low pixel counts aren’t always an obstacle when interesting imagery is your goal. In some instances, they can lend a certain desirable quality to your photos. I’ve gone back through my library of iPhone snaps and singled out a few I think are worth sharing. Let me know what you think. If you have any of your own you’d like to see mentioned, email them to me with details – location, context in particular. Of course, it always helps if your subject obliges in some remarkable way.

All of these images were taken since I arrived in Canada last year.
